Exploring Active Teaching Methods in the Age of AI

As part of its ongoing commitment to teaching excellence and pedagogical innovation, the Department of Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior at Rabat Business School recently organized a workshop led by Professor Jorge Filip Da Silva Gomez from the School of Management of the University of Lisbon.

Held on April 29, 2026, the session focused on the theme “Using Active Teaching Methods to Engage Students in the Age of AI.” Bringing together faculty members from the HRM/OB department, the workshop provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the evolving role of educators in an increasingly digital and AI-driven learning environment.

Throughout the session, participants explored a range of active teaching approaches designed to foster student engagement, critical thinking, collaboration, and meaningful classroom participation. Discussions centered on how innovative pedagogical methods can complement emerging technologies while ensuring that learning remains interactive, student-centered, and impactful.

The workshop also encouraged the exchange of experiences and best practices among faculty members, creating a collaborative space for reflection and continuous improvement. By sharing insights and practical applications, participants identified new ways to enhance the learning experience and better prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow’s professional world.

This initiative reflects Rabat Business School’s dedication to continuously strengthening teaching practices and promoting innovation in the classroom. It also aligns with the School’s broader ambition to provide a transformative learning experience that combines academic excellence, technological advancement, and student engagement.
