For the first time, Rabat Business School had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of students and professors from the University of Maryland for a two-week academic and cultural immersion program in Morocco.
Designed to provide participants with a deeper understanding of Moroccan society, culture, and economic development, the program combined academic seminars, company visits, leadership discussions, and cultural experiences across several regions of the country.
Throughout their stay, the students attended a series of lectures delivered by RBS faculty and invited experts on topics including Islam in Morocco, women and the Family Code, political institutions, leadership, social solidarity, and microfinance. They also had the opportunity to engage with student clubs, exchange perspectives with members of the RBS community, and discover the richness of Moroccan academic life.
Beyond the classroom, participants explored some of Morocco’s most emblematic cultural and historical sites, including Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, Volubilis, Ifrane, and Azrou. These visits offered valuable insights into the country’s history, diversity, and contemporary development.
This initiative reflects Rabat Business School’s commitment to fostering international dialogue, intercultural understanding, and global learning experiences. By bringing together students from different backgrounds and perspectives, the program contributed to meaningful exchanges and strengthened the ties between Rabat Business School and the University of Maryland.
We are delighted to have hosted this first cohort and look forward to building on this collaboration in the years to come.
